This year that tradition continues as I run as a Safe House Project Charity Partner with Team Protectors in the DC Rock N' Roll Half Marathon. I went from never running a mile to running marathons for a purpose! It taught me a different level of grit and mental determination when I was running for someone else. I knew I had to show her that I would push past my comfort zones and break past my mental barriers to do things I had never done before. I never wanted to be her ceiling of what was possible. I had childhood asthma and had allowed my mental blocks to cap my physical capability.but that all changed when I had a little girl.
